The ADAM dance association and the Hortensia Herrero Foundation are launching the ‘Somos Arte’ dance charity gala for the sixth consecutive year, with the aim of introducing internationally recognised dance stars to the Valencian public. As usual, all proceeds will go to a charity. This time, the charity is the Association of Relatives of People Suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease of Valencia.
The Gala will take place on 21 September and has already become a classic to open the season after the summer in Valencia. In fact, all past editions hung the ‘Sold Out’, and the ticket sale arises more and more expectation every year. Therefore, all the indications suggest that the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, which will host the Gala one more year, will be filled up again.
The artists participating in this edition make up a top level selection once again. Marianela Núñez, one of the principal dancers of the Royal Ballet of London and a model for the dance world, returns to the Palau de les Arts together with Vadim Muntagirov, who was awarded the Benois de la Danse 2019 for best dancer. The pair made up by Polina Seminonova, considered to be the best dancer in 2018 by the prestigious German magazine Tanz, and Daniel Camargo, a recognised dancer who, just like Muntagirov, was nominated for the acclaimed 2019 Benoise de la Dance, is premiering in Valencia.
